Aaron is the founding Chief Scientific Officer at Terrain Biosciences, a startup that designs, builds, and advances the world’s best mRNA molecules in support of the academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical ecosystems.

 

After earning a PhD in the lab of Karine Auclair at McGill, Aaron joined the lab of Jack Szostak (Nobel Prize 2009) at Harvard as a NASA and HHMI fellow. He was one of the first scientists at Moderna where he contributed to technologies now used in the COVID vaccine and personalized cancer vaccines. After Moderna, Aaron built the mRNA, gRNA, and LNP platforms at Beam Therapeutics and led their first clinical production campaign. He lives in Boston but hopes to return one day to contribute to biotech in Montreal.
