Victoria Corless completed her Ph.D. in organic synthesis at the University of Toronto, after a Bachelors of Science at McMaster University. During her undergrad, she participated in the co-op program and spent a semester working at McGill in Karine Auclair's lab.

 

Realizing her passion for science lay outside the lab, she worked as a medical writer for Red Nucleus in Toronto before accepting a job as a science editor at Wiley-VCH in Berlin. She's recently left this role to join Taylor & Francis as an associate director for the publisher's community outreach program where she helps connect researchers with publishing opportunities and promotes scientific engagement. 

 

Alongside her publishing work, she is also a freelance science writer, contributing to outlets such as Research2Reality, Advanced Science News, Chemistry World, and Space.com.
